Grace cafe
Pros:
π¨Staff are lovely, and happy to answer any questions
π§ We drive out of our way just to have the vegan zucchini chocolate cake, beautiful, creamy, and moist. There are a lot of options to suit all dietary requirements.
βοΈ The coffee was roasted perfectly, we have never been disappointed
π°The price point is medium to high, you are looking at $5-7 dollars for a each cake, but great quality.
π Great location, with private car park provided.
Sometimes the best discoveries are the accidental ones. Randomly stumbled across this gem and happily experimented its spinach and pumpkin baked eggs. The pumpkin sweetness was brought out by the generous sprinkling of pine nuts. Hearty and warming, this is the perfect recipe on a cold, wet day.
The interior feels old and cramped so it would be more inviting to sit outside on a dry, warm day. Service was helpful and efficient, completing a satisfying experience. Don't forget to feast your eyes on the artwork as well as the taste buds.
Cute little place. Rustic. Good food, good service. Went, with friends, for Sunday breakfast before going to the Rose Street Market just up the road. We got there at 8:15, and were the only ones eating-in at that time. By 9:30 it was packed so I'm glad we went early. Seems like the sort of place that the locals like to go to. Decaf coffee wasn't great, had to ask for hot water to dilute my long-black decaf so that it was drinkable. And there's one loo, so it's shared, I held on and went in the nicer toilets at the cafe next door to the market. We had a nice breakfast though.
Sunday morning was pretty special today with brunch at Grace. Calm and pleasant atmosphere with a delightful menu not cluttered with trendy guff. I had the chili scrambled eggs and it was delicious! Too much for me to eat all of it, the serving sizes are very generous. A local treasure, I will be back again.
We were walking around Fitzroy and noticed a wonderful graffiti with Leonardo da Vinci painting on it. Couldn't resist to check it out.
Grace is an extremely cozy little cafΓ© decorated in a stereotypical grandma style.
Everything has a little bit of history from an old weighing machine to the teaspoons we got. Feels like visiting a grandma who makes a very good coffee. We will definitely come back again.
Waitress that took our order acted like she was on autopilot in my opinion. Not really friendly and welcoming. Felt rude to us. Table that we used was really wobbly. When we slightly touched the table coffee flew out of our cups. This happened two times. We ordered two cakes. One of them something with chocolate which was fine(but sweet) and the other one was a muffin type with lime. The muffin was tasteless and way to sweet. When we told her she looked a bit weird and changed it to another cake. Defenitely not worth the money. Cafe itself is a bit dark and old fashion, however guess some people like that style.
Coffee was of good quality but I would Not go back.
A Hidden cafe in Fitzroy known for its humble, down to earth vibe. Looks just like any other house on Rose Street from outside. They kept the interior minimalistic - stripped back to bare basics with antique furniture. Adds to the charm.
We were too full to grab anything else but their Iced latte was just perfect on a sunny day.
Good Morning. Tremendous coffee and terrific BRAT sandwich would be a best description of my experience. Solid 5 stars of brunch love πππππ β¦
